What is quote firmness?
The “firmer” the quote the more likely you can bind the policy as presented. Currently, we support two levels of quote firmness:
- Bindable quotes: These quotes can be bound immediately, subject to complying with possible subjectivities.
- Presumption-based quotes: Some answers on the application need to be confirmed by the applicant. If those answers are correct, the quote can be bound immediately, subject to complying with possible subjectivities.
You can read more about presumption-based quotes below.

What are presumption based quotes?
They are actionable quotes based on the client details you enter and questions we automatically fill that reflect typical cyber practices used by similar businesses. We do this so you get quotes fast.
At any time, you can update the digital application, or ask your broker to review and confirm presumptions with you to get a fully bindable quote.
How do I request to bind?
Binding is done by your wholesale broker. When you want to bind, let your broker know, and your wholesaler will submit the application to the selected carrier. Once they do, you can track the status of the account on your RSA dashboard. Contact your broker at any time with questions.
What happens if my broker makes changes?
Since your RSA account is linked to your broker’s Sayata account, any changes they make will immediately update in the RSA. For example, if your broker uploads a signed application manually, you can expect to see the application within a few seconds.
Note: Though in development, we currently don’t send notifications to you if your broker makes changes on your behalf.

Why did my selected quote change?
There are three ways your selected quote could have changed without you changing it:
- Your broker changed it. If your broker selects a different quote, it will update in your system. In this case, you'll see a different quote selected.
- Your applicant e-signed an application. Once the applicant e-signs an application, we automatically select the quote signed by the applicant. In that case, you'll see that an application was signed.
- The quote is no longer available. If, for any reason, your selected quote becomes unavailable, it will be unselected. In this case, you'll see no quote selected.
